There are a few families that the ministry is working with that are passing through times of crisis. Please pray that God would do miracles in their lives and give them the strength to keep moving ahead rather than to return to old habits of drugs and living day to day.Saturday, September 15, 2011
This weekend our church is running another 3 day camp for unevanglized high school students. Pray for the salvation of the 6 girls sent from the ministries Friends Club and for the rest of the 400 or so kids at the camp. Carlos has a group of 9 boys that he is responsible for. We are praying that their life's will be transformed and that they will be a strong witness of the power of God. Please join us in prayer for strength for all of the volunteers, especially the group leaders like Carlos as they are with the youth 24/3.

Answers:
Home school: We made a decision and next week all of the school books arrive for Simon and Gabriela to be homeschooled.
Thank God for his protection: With the teams that have visited there has been no illnesses, accidents or robbery's
Requests:
- That we will get a schedule worked out quickly and the adjustment to homeschooling would go well. Pray that the kids would enjoy this experience and learn lots. Pray for consistency and wisdom for the teachers.
- Please pray for safety and protection for the two teams that come this month.
- Please continue to pray for Gods provision for us as a family. We are extremely amazed by the gifts that we have received but we also need regular monthly support.
- There are various ministry building and construction projects that need to be finished. Please pray for the workers and funds to finish them.
- Join us in seeking Gods plan for the reopening of the Oasis phase of the ministry. This is a transition house were kids come into live and learn skills so that they can start to function in a family. We need to know the location of the house and to have the right staff to run it. Also pray for God's protection over the kids who are waiting to come into this home.

Requests:
- There are 2 brothers aged 11 and 14 who need a home, we have known them for years.Their mother threw them out of her house a couple of weeks ago. We don't have room to take them into residential care in the ministry. We have them in emergency care at the moment. Please pray that a good relationship with the mother can be established. The best thing would be that she would return to the Lord and leave the abusive man she is living with. We also need to find a place for the boys to live in while this process occurs.
- Please pray for safety and protection for a construction and ministry team that arrive for a week.
- Please continue to pray for Gods provision for us as a family. We are extremely amazed by the gifts that we have received but we need to know what regular support we will have so we can decide about the kids being homeschooled or if they can continue in school.
- Carlos' extended family as they grieve for his grandmother and are concerned about his grandad adjusting to life without his wife, who at 86 yrs old was married for 67 years.
Answers:
- The kids did really well on their first week after getting back. They are very happy to see their Colombian classmates.
- The translation work that Carlos has.
- Please pray that God starts preparing the hearts of the children that the teams from Canada, Venezuela and the USA will be ministering to and the hearts of the team members.
- Please pray for the right people to come to the Children at Risk school called "Transformation of Pre-street Children", for he preparation of the lectures and all the logistics work behind it.
- Please pray that Carlos will have the strength to finish his translation as he is working long hours.

- Give thanks to God for our safe arrival.
- Give thanks that our house and contents were all still there.
- Prayer for the kids as they get back into school on Monday 7th Feb.
- The minimum administration work has been done while we were away. Please pray that we can priortize and complete the work. There is a team coming in March to organize and a training school in April for workers of children at risk.
- Carlos has planning meetings for YWAM Bogota in the next two weeks, he needs wisdom as he facilitates them.
